Uhhhh… huh. This is kind of strange and I’m not sure how it evolved, but I assure you that there is nothing sinister going on here. I’ve had tails on the brain since the other day when Doodle announced that he would like a tail just like Hoob’s. I also have laundry on the brain way more than I’d like to, and today was, in fact, a good drying day. So, there you go. Next week: mice swimming in a sink full of dishes.
The best thing about having a toddler around Hallowe’en is that you get to eat all of his or her candy. The worst thing is that, to get all that candy, you have to convince the toddler to wear weird stuff, sometimes on his or her head. This bear is wearing the alien hat that my mom and I made Doodle for last Hallowe’en. The thing has never been on Doodle’s head. He absolutely refuses. So, now my bear Bob (inherited by Doodle) wears it most of the time.
The rest of the story here is that Doodle regularly asks to hear stories about going up into space in a rocket with various toys of his. He sleeps with a goat named MaaMaa who gets to go in the rocket most nights. I always get all excited, thinking he wants me (um, Mama) to go with him. Then he corrects me like I’m some kind of fool. Humph.
